Make the evidence and the notation explicit.

Three small treatments for the chip explorer: a complete evidence inventory, a precise size label, and two clearly named flow directions. This is a proposal; it does not change the live diagram.

01 / Complete provenance

Every evidence kind gets a place.

All 1,117 records in the loaded diagram, grouped by the source’s own categories. Select a category to see what its label means.

1,117source records

Snapshot inventory: measured 214 + documented 293 + derived 136 + inferred 196 + outside source 155 + textbook 97 + unknown 18 + owner statement 3 + hypothesis 5 = 1,117. The current Summary’s four categories represent 839 records; the remaining 278 are 24.9%.

02 / Name the quantity

A radius is not “across.”

Example: the proton’s rms charge radius

0.84075 fm
Rms charge radius · r

1 fm = 10⁻¹⁵ m. The source gives r = 0.84075 ± 0.00064 fm.

An rms charge radius describes a distribution. Doubling it does not establish a sharp physical boundary or a hard-sphere diameter.

Reuses the original diagram’s fact p.nucleon.1; the circle is a schematic, not a scaled image.

03 / Say what moves

Label both directions.

Generic n-channel device · positive drain bias

Source · SLower potential
Drain · DPositive relative to S
Electron motionS → D
Conventional currentD → S

Electrons carry negative charge. With the drain positive, their net motion is from source to drain through the silicon channel.

The gate acts through an insulating layer. These arrows describe the source–channel–drain path, not electrons passing through the gate.

Qualitative teaching example, consistent with the 3D channel view. No calibrated current, carrier speed or ET-SoC-1 device geometry is implied.
